Destin Chamber – Dentistry From The Heart

Dentistry from the Heart Event Coming April 19, 2019

Dr. Olivier Broutin, Dr. Amber Wiebe and Dr. Bibek Nakarmi are out to change lives by offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental work, as they host Dentistry from the Heart for the 5th year in a row.

Smileology and their team of dentists, sponsors and volunteers have helped people in need of dental work over the past few years – treating patients in need of fillings, extractions and cleanings. Adults 18 years and older are welcome to come receive one free cleaning, filling or extraction. This event is absolutely free and no proof of residency or income is required or asked for.

Dentistry from the Heart (DFTH) is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 by a dentist in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 108 million Americans lack dental insurance, and over 27 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn’t an option for many of the uninsured. To date, DFTH has helped over 500,000 patients and provided over $25 million in free dental care.

“Now more than ever, I know there’s people out there that need our services, but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance. This Dentistry from the Heart event is my way of giving back to the community, and being there for the people who are in need of dental work,” said Dr. Monticciolo.

The event will take place on April 19 at Smileology in Miramar Beach (12273 Hwy 98 Ste. 117). Starting at 7 a.m.  Dr. Broutin, Dr. Wiebe, Dr. Nakarmi and their volunteers will treat the first 50 patients at their location, or however many they can service by 3 p.m.  For more information, visit smileology.com or the organization’s national website at dentistryfromtheheart.org.

Dentistry from the Heart is a registered non-profit organization that offers free dental
work for people who need it. Dr. Vincent Monticciolo founded the organization as a
means to give back to the community and address the growing number of people with-
out dental insurance.  In the past seven years, Dentistry from the Heart events have contributed over $25 million in free dentistry and helped over 500,000 patients across the country.
